They have catered for my office before (20-2/ people). I let them know what dishes i want & for how many people & they take it from there. We've done this multiple times & is always great. Not sure if they can do large parties though.
Absolutely

Perhaps call and ask?
They are the best Chinese food restaurant in the area high quality food friendly service
Before my mother passed she requested a funeral luncheon at a Chinese restaurant. Up near the National Cemetery there are takeouts and mostly small restaurants. Not only was it convenient but with the minimum of 50 we were able to rent out the whole restaurant for 2 hours. Guests raved about the food and the staff was accommodating. Jim worked up a full menu with an array of selections. Everyone was pleased with the food, service and kindness in our time of grieving.
Great Chinese food! We order for the family frequently. A little on the expensive side.
Generous portion sizes and GREAT noodles + duck sauce (of course)
The best Asian cuisine! Comfortable atmosphere and delicious food!
Good food and service.
Good food, decent service, high prices. Restaurant is small and fairly loud.
My wife and I where visiting Newtown and stumbled upon the restaurant Food is great!
The moo shy beef was very good.A waitress named Angel helped us. Very personable, and on top of things.
Good food fair prices good service
Really good,Quality meats, tasty sauces, I will be a regular here.
Food was cooked to perfection. Beautiful to look at and very tasty will go again
Good food for takeout and nice b.y.o. situation with great service. I just cant get over the carpet. I think I had the same one in my room in 1986. Other then that great times.
Nice restaurant. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Food was standard Chinese fare, but special care was taken with presentation.
The Generals Chicken and the Sesame Chicken was very good. The dining room is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. All of this in a historic building. Although it looks very old outside it is beautiful and updated inside.
I have lived in the area for over 30 years and usually enjoy going to Duck Sauce. Today I ordered some Chinese food including chicken with broccoli which had no sauce and therefore no flavor. I called and asked about it and the response I got was the restaurant has a new owner and new cooks. That was it. Well now I know to go somewhere else.
I am really sad, as Duck Sauce used be one of my favorite spots to come to in Newtown. I didn't know it's under new ownership and it shows. Their Wonton soup used to be best, and now simply average at best, the food is not at all on the same level as it used to be. I feel like new owners failed at transitioning the exemplary delicious food with new, although they kept the name of place. We were patrons from day one and what kept us coming back for over 10 years is the consistent great familiar taste. I feel like something was ripped away from me. Unfortunately, I have to say goodbye, all have is my memories of ol good Duck Sauce.
Service was great. Portions are waaay too small, mediocre at best. I was able to unfold my fortune cookie.... Def not worth the money. Find another place for Chinese food.
Great food,ambiance,service and pricing
Amazing place. Great food and Byob.
Great Chinese food and nice staff. Bathrooms are a little small though.
Wow. New ownership.... No longer hip with exceptional fusion Asian Cuisine just standard too salty traditional Asian food with no up to date personality... Ok I guess if you are expecting it, but definitely not up to the standard of original "Duck Sauce" ...Total bummer!
This place used to be a gem, then it changed ownership and the quality and portion size left with the old ownership, while maintaining the premium price. On my most recent visit, I ordered the sesame beef (my go to meal) and received 9 small kibbles of beef and 3 cold mushy broccoli florets. Yes, I separated the small mound of beef and counted the kibbles. My two colleagues ordered the same meal and they received the same small portion. The only thing that was plentiful with our meal was the final bill. I hope the new ownership finds a way to recover the same quality and portion sizes the old ownership had. This was probably the best Asian food I've had and now it's mediocre with a premium price. Edit: Perhaps the portion size was a fluke? Ate there for lunch today and the portion was appropriate. Adding a star but there are some kinks the new owners still need to work out.
Wide selection of menu choices at decent prices. Complimentary hot tea and crispy noodles. A good place for conversations, not too noisy. BYOB
Tons of delicious choices, especially the sesame beef. Portion sizes are on the smaller side though.
Really good food here. I am glad to have come and would definitely go here again. I got the General Tso chicken. It was really fresh and hot when I got it. The quality of the chicken was pretty good. Good service as well. Highly recommend.
Love this place! Really good food and vegetarian/vegan friendly
Our favorite Asian Restaurant in Newtown. Great service, great food, awesome staff.... 5 stars.
This is my third time at the restaurant. Was not impressed the first two times. We ordered from the daily special menu and the spicy cumin lamb was great. Lots of flavor. Though the waitress warned me that it's "9 out of 10" on the spicy scale, it's only medium spicy. Service was good, enjoyed the tea pot.
Great food! Been eating here since it opened! Best Chinese in Newtown👍
A more sophisticated menu of great tasting dishes accompanied by all the standard fare. Nice dine-in seating and a wonderful place for take-out. Reasonably priced.
Best Chinese
Looked very nice. Never got food. Wanted take out but they have a $25 credit card minimum. I was ordering for 1 person and didn't need that much so I walked out. Your a restaurant, not a black jack table in AC
Parking for this restaurant and other businesses on the street is a bit of a pain. The restaurant was nice on the inside, totally unexpected as the outside of the large building it is in is an historic landmark. The service was good. Waitress was nice. Food was good. Was expecting better than I got as I have been here before, several years previous. The menu was different and more expensive than I remember. I would give it a try, but dont go out of your way to try it.
More of a takeout Chinese place than a sit in restaurant. The restaurant itself is nice inside, has good staff, and is a good location. The food, however, warrants itself as a takeout place.
This place broke my heart. Duck Sauce used to be amazing. The food was incredible, the best Chinese/Asian fusion I had ever had. It wasn’t just a Chinese take out place, it was a lovely rare dine-in (or take-out) restaurant where the chefs paid attention to detail and everything was delicious. Places like this were so hard to find, especially in the suburbs. Well not anymore. I read that new owners took over some time ago (3 years) so I guess that explains it. I have tried it a few times since, to give it a good chance. But unfortunately now it’s just your very average fast-food take out joint. Food is okay. Nothing special. I seriously daydream that the old Duck Sauce will come back someday.
Really went downhill. Soup ok.
Best dining experience ever! Great food and excellent service
GOOD QUALITY FOOD!!!! My husband and I went to Duck Sauce for the first time. We live in Newtown and wanted to try somewhere new. BEST FOOD- it was definitely good quality food. I have ate a lot of Chinese food in the past and we usually eat at Chinatown. Comparing to every restaurant in the past- this is the best Chinese food I ever had. After eating the food- we were actually FULL instead of feeling sick or gross. It is definitely worth all my money. Also the staff was really nice.
Duck Sauce is one of the best Asian restaurants we've eaten at. The staff is pleasant. If you make a reservation you are seated very close to your desired time. The building is very nice and Newtown is a great place to walk around. The menu is large but not expansive. You have a choice of sushi or traditional Chinese food. The dishes are beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. If you haven't been there. You should give this place a try!
Enjoyed and loved our dinner experience at the Duck Sauce. Will certainly be there for dinner in the future.
Big proper East coast egg rolls. Large portions of good food. Careful with the hot mustard, it's hot.
I love this place. It’s a great BYOB. Their food is spectacular—I highly recommend their cashew chicken dish. There is a wide verity of dishes, and they are generous portions. We always end up having leftovers, which is great to heat up for lunch. It’s a cozy place with interesting art.
Love the place. I can only do Chinese a couple of times a year though. Good food but not cheap.
Great food. Reasonable prices. Receiving food was faster than expected. Unfortunately, waiiter had an awfully bad night. He brought out the sweet and sour chicken and forgot the rice....what? How, I don't know. We asked for a few things and we had to tell him a few times again. Normally he wouldn't receive a tip, but he still did serve us and was kind. Just not a great night for him. Hope his night, or memory and 😊😊😊 improves,
The food I ordered was delicious. Good service. Too noisy. It is impossible to enjoy your meal and have a conversation with those at your table.
Barbara Priem is amazing!! Thank you thank you.
Definitely more of a "fusion" Chinese restaurant that caters more towards western tastes. That being said, their food is creative and good quality.
Duck Sauce used to have the best Chinese I'd ever tasted. The sesame beef, general tso's, and the pad Thai were all extraordinary. We ordered takeout or dined in here four or five times a month because it was great food for a fair price. The restaurant has recently changed hands and I doubt we'll ever go to Duck Sauce again. The chicken is cheap and mushy-tasting. The general tso's is brown and gross, and the sesame tofu is mushy and flavorless. Seemingly overnight this place went from being some of the best food I'd ever had to tasting like food from any ordinary mall stand. It's such a shame.
Food was decent but expensive. I got a large of beef and broccoli for $14.00 but it was the size of a small at any other place. I also got pan fried dumplings which were good but they were $8.00 for 8 of them. I've gotten the same dumplings for $4.00 or $5.00 elsewhere.
